Adaptive Walking Harness

This comfortable, effective walking harness is made in betathane and allows an owner who needs support in walking to walk safely alongside her horse. It features a wide, well padded saddle, breast strap and crupper to assure that the harness stays in place. The walking handle is made from aluminum covered with soft leather.

Miniature Horse Harness Dorsal Style

 The lightest, most exciting and animal-friendly carts ever designed for miniature equines are the 21st century dorsal hitch carts. The first of these, the Regal Millennium Mini, was designed in 2000, and since then the incredible ease of use, comfort and maneuverability of these carts has won them a legion of fans and has spawned a host of developments such as the "City Mini", the "Spyder" and the soon to be released "Springtail". Traditional harness cannot be used on these dorsal hitch carts, and Chimacum Tack is proud to have developed harness specifically for this growing class of cart. This harness is designed for comfort and convenience. Available for mini’s and ponies.

Built of Betathane with stainless hardware each part is made to fit your horse properly and allow freedom of movement.

• The saddle is wide, well padded and designed to facilitate comfortable pulling.
• The bridle includes a curved crown, rounded cupped blinds, flexible winker stays (open bridles available on request).
• The breeching and breast collar are both designed to keep the saddle comfortably in place.
• The crupper is soft, folded and stitched leather which is the most comfortable style and never rubs.

Dorsal Hitch Dog Harness

• Made of Betathane with a wonderful new breathable “pillow pad” material we use for pads on our horse harness.
• The hasp is welded to a metal plate sewn inside the padded saddle.
• One advantage to this type of harness/cart combination is that when the driver is seated in the cart the shaft is lifted up which completely removes any weight from the dogs back.

Miniature Horse Harness Show

Chimacum Tack is pleased to offer a comfortable, practical show harness sized for VSE's only. Designed with many of the features of comfy fit harness, this show harness has all the comfort of an all purpose harness as well as the delicacy of a show harness.

Available in Betathane or Leather.( Black, Havana or Russet)

Betathane provides the superior strength and substance of the harness which allows for a very refined look with no sacrifice in comfort or strength. Shoulder strap and his strap 5/8" wide. Bridle Cheeks 1/2" wide.

Our leather harness is made from American tanned Hermann Oak harness leather. Soft flexible linings provide comfort and extra protection where the harness touches the horse or donkey.

This show harness is designed for efficiency and comfort. The saddle includes a spring tree with graduated padding to ensure a smooth, comfortable fit; padded linings at the shoulder and breeching, buckle in traces, roller buckles and keepers at all connections, 5/8" lines with buckle ends. A false martingale is included. Bridle features a curved crown for comfort, separate cavason, convertible check as well as rounded, cupped blinds. Cord side check is included.

Made for Chimacum, this draft style parade harness is designed especially for VSE’s. Everything is proportioned to fit and not overpower your tiny equines. Designed for versatility, this is an excellent harness for both pleasure driving and training as well as parades, arena shows or whatever you’d like to do. Features include soft, well padded, leather lined saddles. All roller buckles - no conway buckles. All hardware is stainless or solid brass. Lines are standard at 5/8” and have brown hand parts. FULLY SPOTTED

• Available in Betathane or Biothane.
• Betathane looks very much like leather, thick, soft with leather like grain and a matte finish, it is strong, washable and lightweight.
• Biothane is shiny like patent leather, a little thinner than betathane, smooth with no grain and has a less rounded edge.
• The bridle includes square, round or pigeon wing blinds and converts from sidecheck to overcheck or open style.
• Girth includes wrap straps
• Two strap breeching is included

"Mini" Mini Harness

Here it is at last, harness designed specifically for those mighty minis under 30” tall who are driving their hearts out! We talked with drivers, then combined the best features of our own sport harness with the lighter features of the Mini Pleasure harness to make this combo harness—just for "mini" minis!

This harness comes in betathane with synthetic linings. Betathane provides strength without bulk.
Everything is carefully proportioned to their tiny features.We make each of these harnesses to fit an individual horse. Measurements are required.

The bridle fits without overwhelming their faces—winkers are small and light weight. The bridle is made similarly to the comfy fit bridle, with curved blinds and an integrated noseband. Bridles convert from overcheck to side check to no check.
The Breastcollar is rolled and padded with a false martingale to keep it down.
The saddle is made like our original sport saddle with extended padding. The breeching and rolled and padded.

The buckle in traces are 3/4” wide
5/8" beta lines are standard in all brown. Black available on request.

Betathane offers the strength needed while keeping proportions tiny. This harness is strong enough for whatever you want it to do! Stainless hardware is standard though brass is available on request.
